Derek Turcotte

Derek has been drawing since childhood and began painting in his early teens. He seriously pursued airbrushing and acrylic painting at 18, while also beginning his tattooing career. In his early twenties, he apprenticed at Crosseyed Airbrushing, where he learned the intricacies of the art on motorcycles and steel. He then applied many of these techniques to canvas, blending them with acrylics using a brush. Since then, his projects have become larger and more time-consuming. Today, Derek works on a few large projects and commissions per year. He also owns Electric Grizzly Tattoos, a custom tattoo shop with his friends, in Canmore, Alberta. He lives in this Canadian Rocky Mountain paradise with his family.
