CINK x Paul Jackson | City and Color print
This poster is special to me because it's a kind of tribute to our dear friend Karl, who passed away in 2019. We affectionately called him "Horse" because he loved calling people that; he was the best. Karl worked closely with Dallas for many years, both on stage and in the studio. He was a very talented musician and a very funny man. Karl had a horse tattoo on his flank with roses and a geisha tattoo on his arm. I thought this poster could be a summary of what he loved.
We all miss Karl, and this little drawing is a tribute to him and City And Colour. I know these concerts were very difficult for Dallas and the band to organize, but they knew Karl would have wanted them to happen – and they did.
My heartfelt thoughts are with Dallas, Karl's family and friends who are mourning him. Life is sometimes hard.
